And, maybe, it is also my real name that makes guys laugh and despise me? ... ... ...
I've remembered a weird thing: that intelligent one vanished after seeing me in my everyday goth/biker outfit :-D and getting to know my real name... The funniest thing is that he guessed it from the 1st time, as soon as I told him it is Western Ukrainian.

Госпожа Бэй-фэн, well... I wouldn't like to mention it, but I can let you guess it - that's too easy. One of the most popular female names of the West of Ukraine, of the Carpathians - yes, I come from there. :) And it is also often mentioned in folk songs and literature of those places, mostly as a name of a character of a love story. >_<

[chuchundra], you almost guessed it. One of these names is my full name, I hardly ever use it. Mostly my family uses the "short form" of it that is longer than the full name. That form is only common in the Carpathians. Another one is widespread all ovr Ukraine and Russia, but I hate being called that way.
A famous female sports newsreader of Ukraine has the same name and uses it in her work, same as I do.

Thanks for the hint, I'll think about it tomorrow (c) or better ask my father - he is originally from Ivano-Frankivsk, so he should know the most popular female names of that region ^_^

[chuchundra], very close to that. The 2nd is what I hate being called with. Because parents never called me that way, and I like that name on other girls. As well as the one I have.
